The Magicians Last Act by Wykyd Wytch

Her blood is on fire,
With the roaring of the crowd.
She holds her last act in her hands
And with these words she asks:
"Please, please, will there be the volunteer?"
She doesn't want your body,
Your youth, your beauty;
Nor does she crave your blood.
That soul wrapped in pink flesh-
Is all she sees.
"I volunteer!"
Such a melodic voice cried.
Her eyes followed the fading echo,
And with a smile she waves her to the stage.
"My dear, my dear, do you see this frame?"
A nod and unsure eyes urged her on.
With a curtsy she extended her hands
"Take this frame, hold it before your eyes."
Those hands touched the iron frame,
And the blood that boiled turned to ice.
Her reflection gleamed in the empty glass.
And with a snap of the Magicians fingers,
Her body fell onto the stage.
What had fallen was a corpse.
Nothing but filth before the Magicians feet.
That soul which she craved caught behind the frame.
Turning to the crowd she cried:
"Stay, oh stay with me wont you?"
As hundreds of feet ran with the screams of horror,
The Magician laughed and rolled her eyes.
And what once was a stadium,
Turned into a desert made of bone and glass.
